Corporate Services Overview
The Corporate Services Department is responsible for the following:
The mailroom team manages all inbound and outbound mail for corporate, Home Services and International Life Segments. Including shipping, receiving, sorting, opening, scanning and distributing mail. The team manages the policy admin builds, claims for damaged and/or lost packages, tracking packages, dry blood kits for international applications, and large international mailouts to ICs.
The imaging team manages daily scanning, prep and transfer to the policy admin system, quality control and document storage management for all departments. Including a 5-month backlog transferred by Operations which entails organizing PDFs and transferring to the policy admin system. Dry blood kits for international applications for the International Life Segments.
Our office services team manages event planning logistics, invoices, coding, supplies orders, vendor relations, inventory, fulfillment, document storage management, and the Form control file.
Claims administration is one of the essential functions of a life insurance company. In the Claims Department, our team is involved in fulfilling the promises the insurer made in its contracts with the policy owners. A person who buys insurance is buying the insurer’s obligation to pay a specified amount if certain conditions occur.
Financial Reporting Overview
Financial Reporting prepares and distributes information to regulators, investors and management that provides insights into our business. We research and implement new accounting guidance and help other departments process transactions appropriately while constantly interacting with both internal and external audit.

New Business / Underwriting Overview
Our teams are responsible for receiving and processing all life insurance and annuity applications submitted to the company, both International and Domestic. We assess the risk profile of every applicant from both a medical and financial perspective. Ultimately evaluating the degree of risk, an applicant presents to the company and deciding if that risk is acceptable based upon our risk tolerance.
Citizens Marketing Department is a cross-functional team made up of individuals from different professional and cultural backgrounds. We are the marketing, sales and communications hub for Citizens Inc. and its subsidiaries which include: CICA Life, Security Plan, Magnolia Guaranty Life and CICA Life of America. We serve a diverse set of markets and make our primary focus our policyholders and the enduring value our products and services offer.

Policyholder Services Overview
Who do we serve?
We serve agents, independent consultants, policyholders, international shareholders, and coworkers.
What do we do?
We manage and provide service around the world to policy holders during the whole life of the policy. Starting once the policy is issued and ending when the life of a policy ends.
The Legal department is responsible for providing direction on legal and regulatory issues and works to minimize legal risks to the company. The Legal department handles litigation matters and advises on the development of company strategies. The Legal department is responsible for SEC reporting, corporate governance, adhering to federal securities laws, integration of disclosure requirements and compliance with regulatory aspects of the Company’s operations (including filings with state insurance regulators). The Legal department reviews all contracts, agreements and leases.
Actuaries are trained in analyzing and estimating the costs and benefits associated with risk and uncertainty. They ensure that the appropriate actuarial pricing and reserving systems are employed to measure and monitor the actuarial risks and regulatory compliance requirements of the company in order to meet the company’s long-term financial objectives.

IT are the people who test, build, install, repair, or maintain the hardware and software associated with complex operations at Citizens. We provide technical solutions to the Citizens Teams problems.
